Just a quick note to say the new season of work is upon me and I can’t wait. 2 and a half months have passed since I have worked with the team and this will be my first full season as a professional. Last year I came in as technical director and took over in January as head coach.
Having had a busy summer signing players and working on our model of play, today I hit the court and hopefully put in some good work to achieve our goals of winning the league. The club will announce the players this week or next and I am very excited with the players we’re bringing in!
The league is yet to be confirmed, but it’s looking like being a small, 4-team championship, which, for the size of Malta is understandable, if a bit disappointing.
I’ve also had a look at my methods for the new season and I’ve opened an account with www.coachfutsal.net to manage my team – trainings, attendance, stats and more – check it out and let me know if you’re keen and I’ll help you get started!
I also bought an iPad and MacBook for the new season to be able to use for stats & analysis and I’ll use Longomatch for that and finally I think I will get a copy of tacticalpad to help with set plays and sharing with players and staff.
I watched quite a bit of basketball over the summer and love how in depth their playbooks are, so will be looking to see what I can take from basketball to improve my coaching!
Looking forward to getting on the court tonight and I’ll be back to sharing sessions and videos across my social media channels in the coming weeks!
Good luck for pre-season!
